College Application Consulting 101

Darryl acquired nearly 20 years of experience working in college admissions before leading a successful college counseling office for an independent secondary school for the past 12 years. Previously Darryl was Senior Associate Director of Admissions at Tufts University, where he gained valuable insight into the world of highly selective college admissions. Darryl began his career at Union College (NY), his alma mater, in 1992, where he started as an admissions counselor and rose to the leadership role of Associate Dean.

Darryl has nationally recognized expertise and industry insights in every aspect of the college admission process. He has been featured in several admissions publications throughout his career, including the NY Times best-selling book, “Who Gets in and Why.” Darryl has an extensive network of college admissions professionals with whom he continually collaborates.

Jenny holds a Bachelor's degree from Emory University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has been involved in higher education for several years and brings a sincere passion and commitment to helping students maximize their opportunities for college. Previously, she was an M&A professional at PwC, facilitating mergers and acquisitions for some of the most prestigious companies in America. 

Jenny has been a part of the admissions team at Harvard University. As an admissions representative at Harvard, Jenny helped organize and participated in admissions events for prospective students. This includes admissions panel discussions and information sessions, class visits, and other campus events.

As a counselor, Jenny is most passionate about helping candidates identify their most compelling stories. She loves to dig into the “why” behind every story to help candidates pull out deeper, more impactful, and more memorable essays. Her unique approach has helped several of her candidates get into top schools such as Yale, Dartmouth, Duke, Vanderbilt, and Washington University in St. Louis, among others.
