Adam has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, graduating cum laude of his class. Before receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Adam participated in NYU’s Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service (FELPS) Program.
Adam understands that the college application process can be daunting. Through working with college applicants, he has seen how much support, structure, and guidance can alleviate that stress. Adam is passionate about sharing his experiences to enable applicants to overcome the overwhelming feelings that can come with the application process. He is committed to giving Quad students the space to get excited about their postsecondary prospects and channel that energy into personal reflection, exploration, and developing strong, well-rounded applications. He finds it rewarding to be able to assist others in achieving their goals and putting themselves on a path toward future success.
Adam has formally coached countless students through the college application process, helping students with personal statements, supplementary essays, scholarship applications, and school selection. Having worked closely with students from underprivileged neighborhoods and first-generation college students, he is well-versed in supporting students and their family members in navigating and demystifying the college application process. With almost ten years of experience, Adam has helped students gain acceptance into Cornell University, Brown University, George Washington University, and New York University.
As a coach, Adam excels at active listening and asking questions that help students get a deeper understanding of their challenges throughout the application process. He loves helping students brainstorm and organize their thoughts for personal statements, break down large goals into smaller milestones, and develop application timelines with clear expectations. Adam understands different stakeholder perspectives (parents, family members, students, school counselors, etc.) and helps collaboratively foster alignment to identify the necessary steps for a student’s success.
Adam aims to support the individual needs of each student he has the opportunity to work with. He ensures that Quad students feel confident, excited, and proud about the applications they submit and the programs they target. He is excited to provide this support in collaboration and aligned partnership with parents and family members throughout the process.
When Adam isn’t coaching, he enjoys running, hiking, and reading fiction.

Aimee joins the Quad team with almost a decade of experience in highly-selective college admissions and college counseling. She began her career in admissions at her alma mater, Colby College, where she read thousands of applications and advocated for students throughout the reading and committee process. In addition to application reading, her work in admissions ranged from coordinating fly-in programs and events for inclusion and equity weekends, managing tour guides and Diversity Associates, and serving as a member of the athletic recruitment committee. As an admissions officer, she prioritized reading each student as an individual, and seeing the value in each applicant’s accomplishments and experiences.
Aimee’s time in admissions sparked her passion for working more closely with students and families, and serving as a mentor through the college application process. She has spent the last six years working for the Schuler Scholar Program, a non-profit organization that prepares students with the necessary preparation to gain access to and succeed at highly-selective colleges and universities. She spent her first four years in the program as a college counselor, creating academic and course selection plans for students, leading them through their college research process, and working closely with them on each aspect of their college applications. Through her strong understanding of and performance in this work, she was promoted to Assistant Director of College Counseling, where she currently manages and mentors a region of college counselors, and serves as a regional consultant and expert on the college application process.
Aimee has a deep understanding of the criteria and nuances of private, highly-selective admissions, including both small liberal arts schools and larger research institutions across the country. She has also served on athletic recruitment committees, and gone through DIII recruitment herself as a college athlete, so is well-versed in the recruitment process for prospective athletes. Her career has been dedicated to helping students and families from various backgrounds find the best fit college for them, and preparing them each step of the way. While Aimee’s New England roots provide her with a straight-forward approach to the work and communication, she has also adopted the Midwest kindness from her time spent in Chicago and Illinois. She genuinely enjoys building relationships and better understanding the needs of those she works with, and helping them achieve the goals they set for themselves.

Alec has a Bachelor’s degree in both Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Asian Studies from Rice University and an MBA from Stanford University. He has several years of experience helping college candidates get into their dream schools.
As a coach, Alec enjoys helping others find confidence and pride in what sets them apart. Essentially, he loves to see students embark on journeys to further cultivate their individuality. His greatest strength when working with Quad applicants is his ability to help them find their confidence and voice. Alec understands the difficulty in articulating the “why” behind your experiences and decisions when applying to college. He prides himself on his ability to help students dig deep so they can determine the motivations behind their choices, whether it's their reason for pursuing an activity, a school, or a program.
Students Alec has recently coached have gotten accepted into UC Berkeley, Yale University, Princeton University, MIT, Stanford University, Washington University St. Louis, Rice University, and Vanderbilt University.
In Alec’s free time, he enjoys taking courses online, making up games, and solving computer science problems.
Alec’s Pro Tip?
Students do better in the interview when they answer extemporaneously from the heart rather than when they memorize what "should be said".

Allan graduated from Cornell University with Cum Laude honors in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with a concentration in Energy and Economics. After completing his bachelor's degree, he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Allan founded an admissions consulting program as the President of a national honor society at Cornell University. He also acted as an admissions mentor at a local high school. As an admissions ambassador, Allan provided feedback to the admissions board on the potential candidate's fit with the school. With over ten years of experience as an academic counselor, he has helped his students gain admission to Cornell University, the University of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Texas, among many others.
As a first-generation college student, Allan has first-hand experience with how challenging and confusing the admission process can be. This fuels his passion for supporting and guiding his students through the application process. As a coach, he takes a personalized approach–highlighting each applicant's strengths and individuality. He is adaptable and flexible when it comes to what his students need, regardless of what stage in the application process they're in. Allan excels in helping his students develop a robust applicant profile that speaks to what admissions officers are looking for in an ideal candidate beyond test scores and grades. He helps his students turn their shortcomings into strengths, allowing them to shine through.
With his Quad students, Allan breaks down the application process into more manageable steps. He helps his students understand the rationale behind each aspect of their application–specifically, why the colleges ask specific questions and what they want to learn about the students. This, in turn, gives his students the opportunity to build a more meaningful and intentional application. Through coaching prospective college students, Allan hopes to pass on his knowledge and experience to ensure that his students can more easily manage the college application process. He finds great joy in seeing his students' and their families' happy faces and tears when they receive acceptance letters from their dream school. Allan ensures that his students feel confident in their application and works hard to get each of his students to that state of mind and having fun along the way.
When Allan isn't coaching, he mentors high school students and young professionals on career and professional development. He also enjoys playing competitive badminton–and winning!
Allan's Pro Tip?
Students often think they need the perfect resume and breadth of experience to be a competitive candidate. While having these experiences under your belt can be an asset, you can always find strength in your application through your weaknesses and shortcomings, making you much more resilient and competitive throughout the application process.

April has a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies from Yale University and a Master's degree in Film Directing from Brooklyn College. Professionally, April has experience as a playwright, phylogenetic researcher, video artist, documentary filmmaker, and teacher.
April believes that a great coach is both a role model for and an ardent supporter of their students, a north star of both focus and big-picture thinking during a demanding period in students' lives. April is passionate about using her narrative insight as a filmmaker to help college applicants find and communicate their sense of purpose in the world to specific audiences: in this case, the college of their dreams. April has coached hundreds of students over the past five years, and her passion is to guide them toward educational experiences that will be challenging, formative, and a good fit for their life purposes. College is no exception!
April's greatest strength as a coach is helping students identify and compellingly represent their strengths through essay writing and the interview process. She begins with the big picture of the whole student - their strengths and what they have to give to the college community and the world - and structure the application prep process from there, bringing focus and clarity to the small, important details that go into a successful application.
When April isn't coaching, she loves to cook, discover new and old music, play and write songs on the guitar, go hiking, and research how movies are made.

Arianna is a counselor at Quad Education and has been on the admissions team at Dartmouth College. She loves being able to help guide students and lessen the anxiety that the process causes. Arianna likes to inspire students and help them reach the goals they were unsure were attainable prior.
Arianna was heavily involved in interviewing candidates at Dartmouth, which led to her greatest learning in admissions that interviewing a candidate is just as much on the interviewer as the interviewee. Later in her admissions journey, she realized how this also applies to other aspects of the application. If you search for the candidate to fail, then they will, but if you have no expectation then the candidate's performance will be their own. Arianna incorporates this philosophy into her coaching style as a consultant at Quad.
Arianna is an expert at guiding students throughout the application process. She really enjoys helping students determine their strengths, guiding them through each step in an understandable way, college list creation, and helping students discover their theme to utilize for their application and personal essay. Although she loves helping all students, she is particularly passionate about helping diverse and POC candidates, STEM, LGBTQ+, women and disadvantaged candidates.
Arianna loves to play the violin, learn languages (currently working on Portuguese and Italian), and writing poetry and short stories.

Augie has a Bachelor's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Augie has also served as an interviewer for Stanford. Augie's greatest learning from this experience is that a student's academic profile is just one aspect of their application; colleges are looking for well-rounded candidates rather than just smart candidates.
Augie understands that college applicants often don't apply to schools they would excel at due to the confusing and intimidating application process. He aims to demystify the process, helping students navigate through it, tackle any challenges head-on, and put their best foot forward.
Applicants that Augie has recently coached have gotten accepted to several top schools, including Stanford University, The University of Chicago, and Vanderbilt University.
In his spare time, Augie enjoys sailing, single-engine aircraft flying, road-tripping, and trying restaurants.
Augie's Pro Tip?
Augie knows what it is like to be accepted and rejected by top schools for undergraduate and graduate school; the key is learning from each instance and taking that knowledge to the next application process.

Casey attended the University of Notre Dame for his Bachelor’s and UC Berkeley for his MBA. He has served on the admissions team at UC Berkeley, conducting interviews and working closely with the admissions team to uncover candidates' goals and strengths, ultimately making admissions recommendations.
Through his time in admissions, Casey learned how important it is that a candidate expresses themselves authentically and consistently across their applications. While academics and test scores are absolutely important pieces, they're not the entire story. Genuinely and effectively conveying who you are, what you love and what makes you tick is the only way to let the admissions teams get to know you. He specializes in working with candidates to put in the self-discovery work up front to understand who they are as a person.
Having worked for over six years in the financial services industry, Casey is also an expert in organization and project management, and uses these skills to make the daunting application process as simple and manageable as possible for students and families. He has also worked with many types of students in the past and has an excellent ability to empathize with students from different backgrounds.
Casey loves to travel and explore the world. I also enjoys film and film festivals (Telluride is a favorite), wine (certified WSET Level 1),finding new hikes around the Bay Area, reading, and exercising.

Christopher is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and The University of Chicago. Christopher has also worked with the admissions committee at The University of Chicago, reviewing applications, assessing essays, and conducting interviews.
When it comes to coaching, Christopher loves helping Quad applicants realize their strengths, gain confidence in their decision-making, and reach their ultimate goals. Exciting, nerve-wracking, scary, and rewarding are all fitting words to describe the college application process. Christopher appreciates that this journey can be an emotional roller coaster but knows it’s always worth it!
His greatest strength as a coach is discovering unexplored balance. He excels at highlighting the uniqueness of the boy who feels ordinary, finding the right fit school for the quirky girl, accentuating the creative side of the math nerd, emphasizing the personal connections within large group activities, building confidence in the insecure, and tapping into a vulnerability of the self-assured. Christopher believes that humans are multifaceted creatures; he shines at painting a colorful and nuanced picture to capture who they truly are.
Students Christopher has recently coached have gotten accepted into several top-tier schools, including Brown University, Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, Columbia University, UPenn, Cornell University, and Dartmouth College.
When Christopher isn’t coaching students, he enjoys “unplugging” in nature, taking improv comedy classes with his wife, and riding roller coasters with his teenagers. He is a Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and runs a website “geeking out” on SEO strategies.

Corey has a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center. In addition, they have an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. Corey has served as an Interviewer at Georgetown University, where they interviewed and scored applicants. Professionally, Corey has served as an Attorney with over fifteen years of experience in public policy, including a decade of work in sexual and reproductive health and LGBTQ rights.
Corey’s interest in coaching stemmed from their own experience of applying to college as a first-generation student at a public school. They had to navigate the process solo and quickly became an expert among their friends. Corey’s guidance counselors even hung their application materials on the office walls as a template for other students! Since then, Corey has coached many students on their educational journey - whether as a teacher, an alum providing outreach, an employer mentoring interns, or a community volunteer working with youth programs.
As a coach, Corey thoroughly enjoys getting to know Quad applicants and learning about their goals. They pride themselves on being a good listener and motivating students to create what they hope to. Corey addresses any roadblocks honestly and works with students to find solutions together. Corey’s greatest strength as a coach is their approach to the application; they work with students to tackle it one step at a time while also planning ahead. This puts Quad applicants at ease, allowing them to enjoy applying to college with as little stress as possible. Corey is also a big fan of backward planning. They encourage applicants to start with what they are passionate about and what they can imagine spending their life doing - and working backward from there. At the end of the day, college admissions is very important, but it's only the first step on the road to your future.
Writing and reading are two of Corey’s main passions. They have contributed to two forthcoming books, but they also love to write just for them. Corey also loves spending time with their family, gaming, and traveling.
Corey’s Pro Tip?
An applicant might be identical on paper to many other students, but there is a lot that is unique about you that can come out in different ways in this process. What is your story? Why is this college perfect for you, and what can YOU offer to the college? Answering these questions is easily worth as much as a test score or GPA.

Dahlila’s Pro Tip?
The ability of a student to tell a story is one of the most captivating keys to the admissions process. Admission counselors read hundreds to thousands of applications during the season, many of which are the same. A reviewer can tell if an applicant is different from the rest within seconds, so being able to capture a reviewer’s attention authentically is a special skill not just in college but in life.

David a former admissions officer at Brown University who is currently based South Carolina. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University with a dual concentration in History and Biomedical Ethics. David has had a long and successful career both in and outside the admissions world. After working for a large law firm in Washington DC for a year, he attended Cornell Law School graduating with a Juris Doctor in Public Law. Following his graduation from law school, David served in the United States Navy as a Judge Advocate for three years on active duty while stationed in Great Lakes, Illinois and Newport, Rhode Island. Following his military service, David worked as an attorney for the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service. Thereafter, he practiced immigration law for over 10 years.
After a long legal career, David transitioned into his true passion, higher education with the goal of helping undergraduate students find engaging internships and post-graduation positions and assisting them with applications to top colleges. He started off at Northeastern University, heading the pre-law office, where he made decisions on which pre-law students to admit and also helped them get accepted at top law schools. In addition, he taught hundreds of international students in a professionalism and career readiness course designed to prepare them for working in the United States.
Following his work at the illustrious Northeastern University admissions office, David ran a program for student veterans at the University of Massachusetts Boston, helping students prepare and gain admittance to highly selective colleges. Having found his niche in providing one on one advising to students, David returned to his Alma Mater to work as an Admission Specialist for the Brown University admission office. At Brown, David was responsible for evaluating thousands of applications and making admissions committee recommendations. In addition, he was also responsible for all merit scholarship reviews and has an in-depth understanding of what highly selective schools such as Brown are looking for when making scholarship decisions.
Outside of work, David tries to keep up with his three amazing children, the oldest one a rising a senior with a stellar academic record at atop university. He often spends weekends hiking through the woods, streams and ponds of rural northwestern Rhode Island. A lifelong baseball (Red Sox!) fan, David is often found in and around baseball and softball diamonds through the spring and summer, and roaming the sidelines of volleyball courts in the winter. Currently, he is trying his hand at starting a small orchard with the hopes of someday making small batch jams and wines.

David has a Bachelor's degree from Columbia University and a Master's degree from Washington University in St Louis. As a coach, David is extremely goal-oriented and receives great satisfaction in seeing students succeed. He believes in the college admissions application process's transformative nature and educational value as discrete from classroom education. The college application process is a tremendous opportunity to discover vital aspects of students' interests and ambitions. The more rigorously one engages and commits to the college admissions process, the more rewards one yields in self-discovery.
David's greatest strengths as a coach include his extreme acuity to detail and fierce command of language. With a keen focus on his candidates' holistic profiles, David can quickly identify their strengths and determine the best ways to form a compelling and persuasive case for each applicant's respective candidacies. Additionally, David is extraordinarily adaptable, works well under pressure, and can synthesize elements of a candidate's background into guiding approaches to college application documents.
Applicants David has recently coached have gotten accepted into Columbia University, The University of Chicago, The University of Pennsylvania, Duke University, Georgetown University, Washington University in St. Louis, New York University, and The University of Virginia.
David is a major foodie, and when he's not reading or working on a manuscript, he loves to survey new or exciting restaurants, bars, and cafes in Saint Louis or New York.
David's Pro Tip?
Admissions officers must be clearly guided toward a candidate's most persuasive strengths in the application; strong candidacy alone does not create successful candidacy. Rather, a cogent presentation of one's strengths is essential.

Demi has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science & Policy with a Minor in Political Science from Duke University. She has also earned a JD from The University of North Carolina School of Law. Professionally, Demi has worked closely with the Academic Advising office at Emory School of Law. Her most significant learning from this experience is that there is no perfect candidate alone; each candidate comes together with the incoming student body to form a great class. Some candidates had more experience while others had a better academic record, but the incoming class was always whole.
Demi's passion for coaching stemmed from the help she received when applying to college herself. Based on her environment and situation, she did not have the resources to go to college. However, she had mentors who helped her at every step; they encouraged her to participate in pre-college programs she wasn't sure she qualified for, and they encouraged her to sign up for competitions she never dreamed of. Most importantly, her mentors believed there was no limit to what she could do and were willing to get her where she needed to go. Demi understands the difficulties of applying to college, and her goal is to help applicants have options on where they go to college and beyond.
Demi's greatest strengths as a coach include helping Quad applicants look through their experiences in a non-intrusive way to see the best version of themselves and articulate it in their application materials. She is also a great listener and takes extra steps to ensure the entire family feels involved and comfortable during the process.
When Demi isn't coaching, she enjoys drinking international teas, gardening, hiking, and spending time with her husband and cat.

As a consultant at Quad and a former admissions committee member at Harvard, Donovan is passionate about helping students from all over the world realize their true potential. One of the most important things he learned through working in admissions is an emphasis on depth over breadth. Many incorrectly assume that universities want a well-rounded student, whereas they're actually seeking a well-rounded student body. Informed by this understanding, Donovan helps students demonstrate expertise and develop a focused, cohesive narrative across their application, both of which are incredibly important to top-tier schools.
Donovan also has an in-depth understanding of the importance of school-specificity in each application, as every school values different things. Having produced more U.S. presidents and Nobel Prize winners than any other university, Harvard, for example, tends to place greater weight on leadership qualities among applicants. Adjacent to Palo Alto and in the heart of Silicon Valley, Stanford values an entrepreneurial spirit and calculated risk-taking more than many schools. Thus, it's imperative that supplemental essays are tailored to a school and its characteristics, something that Donovan is passionate to help students with.
As a former varsity collegiate rower who was recruited to Harvard's heavyweight crew team, Donovan has helped countless students excel in their sport and successfully navigate the athletic recruiting process. He likens his approach to that of a coach and thoroughly enjoy working with ambitious student-athletes. Having pursued cutting-edge STEM research and competitions throughout his career, Donovan likes building passion projects with students and is particularly interested in working with students who want to solve problems using STEM. At Quad, Donovan aims to be an approachable, accessible ally, and am more than happy to work with students of all backgrounds.
In his spare time, Donovan writes screenplays, teleplays, and sketch comedies. He enjoys reading nonfiction psychology books, and loves board games like Catan and Monopoly. Apart from this, Donovan hangs out with his bearded dragon and is considering getting a giant breed dog soon.

Dorien is a graduate of Colgate University and the University of Pennsylvania. Dorien has extensive experience both as an admissions coach as well as as an admissions professional. Dorien served as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment at Syracuse University, an Application Reader at Swathmore College, and an Undergraduate Student Advisor at Case Western Reserve University. While serving on admissions teams, Dorien was responsible for reading applications, interviewing prospective students, coordinating campus visits and events, training admissions volunteers, and making scholarship decisions. She also has experience coaching students on all aspects of their college experience, including major exploration, academic/study skills, engaging in campus life and opportunities, and other areas of adjustment to college life.
As a coach, Dorien believes that building a positive, trusting relationship with Quad applicants is essential. She is an active listener, allowing her to get to know her students on a deeper, personal level and give individualized advice. She thoroughly enjoys coaching students through multi-phased processes in a way that does not overwhelm them but also gives them ownership over their own decisions each step of the way.
In terms of strengths, Dorien has clear oral and written communication skills, which she hones in on while helping Quad applicants draft and edit their essays as well as other personal documents for the application process.
When Dorien isn’t coaching, she is an avid reader (with a healthy dose of binge TV watching for balance), loves to cook and try new recipes, and travel both in the US and abroad. She also has both a dog (a dachshund mix named Ellie) and a cat (named Athena)!
Dorien’s Pro Tips?
Don't tell admissions officers what you think they "want" to hear; they can tell! This won't help to make you more "admissible" and certainly won't result in a good-fit school at the end of the process.
Applying to college takes research, thoughtful self-reflection, and, most importantly: TIME. Don't rush the process.

Emily C. Keily, an admissions professional with over twenty-four years of experience in higher education, was the Director of Admissions, Public Health and Professional Degree Programs, at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA from 2009 to 2021. In this position, she participated in the development of several new academic programs (Physician Asst. and DPT, for example) and the on-boarding and implementation of new admissions processes and systems. In addition to the programs mentioned above, she administered admissions for Tufts Special Master’s Program (MBS) and worked with students applying to the Medical School’s MD/MBA and MD/MPH, among other programs.
Her work with MD applicants, in particular, made her keenly aware of the merit of such a program, that medical school can be a possibility with some added “elbow grease” and that the entire medical school application process can be very nerve racking for applicants. She’s excited to help! As a member of professional associations, including NAAHP, NEAAHP, AACRAO, and NAGAP, Emily presented on topics such as the admissions process and the admissions field at national and regional conferences. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College (MA) and Stonehill College (BA).

Ethan completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he pursued his filmmaking degree (with an emphasis on producing and animation) at the school of Theater, Film and Television. After graduating, he was approached by the TFT admissions office to participate in the application review process, and was a member of the team for two years. Simultaneously, he jumped headfirst into the television industry, and has been working on shows for the last few years. He also has significant experience as a writing editor, helping his peers and other professionals draft and edit cover letters, resumés, and college applications.
When he entered the entertainment industry, Ethan’s primary pursuit was to reach a position where he could democratize and diversify the stories on the air, and that same philosophy holds true in his approach to admissions counseling. At Quad Education, Ethan resonates with his mantra believing that every applicant, regardless of background, status, or life experience, has a compelling story to tell - the difficult part is in chiseling it out.
When he’s not working, Ethan loves spending time with his dog and cat, binge-watching the latest Disney+ Marvel series with his girlfriend, and eating as much sushi as humanly possible.

George has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from Georgia Tech.
George has extensive coaching experience and is a big believer in mentorship, building on the successes of others, and not repeating past mistakes. As a first-generation college student, George understands how challenging it can be to navigate the college application process. He was fortunate enough to have a supportive and knowledgeable high school counselor who kept him laser-focused on the application process when he was applying. High school seniors everywhere need similar support and coaching, so it makes George happy to know that he can help young adults in one of the most stressful periods of their lives.
George’s greatest strength as a coach is helping students find and describe their own strengths and relay them to others directly, concisely, and convincingly. George feels it is his shared responsibility with parents to help guide students on their journey through the application process, ensuring that their efforts are focused, impactful, and give them the best chances of success.
When George isn’t coaching Quad applicants, he likes to be away from monitors -- outside on his bike, rock climbing, playing volleyball with friends, and reading about personal finance.
George’s Pro Tip?
Find your narrative; those that are truly successful in pivoting into fulfilling careers are the ones who can tell their stories well.

Isabel is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the University of Chicago. She has extensive experience guiding college aspirants through the process. Isabel understands that the college application process can be discouraging, and parents and students can feel lost in such a crowded applicant field. She strives to help push past those anxieties and keep the process in perspective. Isabel enjoys realizing all students’ unique qualities and talents and seeing them rise to their full potential, wherever that may lead them!
As a coach, Isabel aims to get to know a candidate personally to help them determine their strengths. She loves drawing out candidates’ self-knowledge and encouraging them to be themselves. As a highly organized individual, Isabel enjoys helping families plan the application process to ensure all the components are manageable. Isabel is also proactive about communication at every step of the process. She ensures that parents and students are on the same page, fostering a mutually supportive and secure working relationship.
Isabel’s favorite part of the application process is the personal essay, where applicants can highlight not only what they’ve accomplished but who they really are. Isabel’s priority is to make this process rewarding, challenging, and hopefully fun. In the competitive college admissions process, it can be easy to lose sight of every individual’s uniqueness and inherent worth. Working on the essays with Quad applicants is a great way to stay grounded while keeping long-term goals in mind.
Applicants Isabel has recently coached have gotten accepted at many top universities, including Brown University, NYU, and Cornell University.
When Isabel isn’t coaching, you can find her reading, watching movies, and going out with friends. She also has a variety of hobbies, including paper crafts, embroidery, and “snail mail.” She plays the guitar and loves live music and art. Recently, Isabel has been spending time walking and biking along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront with her partner.

Josef has a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University and has almost a decade of experience as an admissions coach, reviewing hundreds of applications. Josef's involvement in higher education admissions allows him to keep a finger on the pulse of the industry's latest changes and trends. One of his most significant learnings is the difference between an on-the-fence application and an accepted application: proving passion without actually using the word "passion."
Josef's journey to coaching began while tutoring his younger sister and mentoring students while he was in middle school. He has implemented coaching strategies from his state- and nationally-recognized football coaches over the years, some of whom are now coaching on the collegiate (NCAA) and professional levels (NFL). Josef is very competitive by nature, likely from 12 years of playing football and competing for a national championship senior year of high school! He loves the challenge of helping Quad applicants get into the best (and best-fit) programs and schools in alignment with their goals for how they envision themselves making a positive impact on the world.
Josef is passionate about coaching Quad applicants and places significant importance on bringing his best version to coaching sessions. Similarly, he strives to push applicants to put their best selves forward when crafting their applications and essays. Josef's greatest strength as a coach is helping students find the intersection between their passions and talents. Josef enjoys forming strong bonds and deep connections with Quad applicants, creating a safe and comfortable space for them to share their narratives. It is in the depths of some of Josef's students' dearest hobbies that he's found some of the most endearing stories around which to craft their narratives and establish their unique differentiators.
Students Josef has recently coached have gotten accepted at Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, Dartmouth College, Columbia University, Brown University, UPenn, Cornell University, Stanford University, and MIT.
When Josef isn’t coaching, he enjoys writing screenplays for movies and TV pilot scripts for shows. He also likes making music, doing karaoke, and exercising.
Josef's Pro Tip?
Those who are the best at what they do are constantly driven by pure passion for doing whatever it takes to be their best. Finding that balance between talent and passion is thus pivotal in paving the way for optimal quality of life in college and beyond.

Julia has earned a Bachelor's degree from Brown University. Julia loves helping students feel more comfortable and confident throughout the college application process. She remembers how daunting and stressful this time was for her as a student, so she is eager to give other students the tools to navigate this process successfully. Julia believes every student has a unique story to tell, so she loves helping students find their voice and explain their passions through their applications. She finds it very exciting when a student gets into their dream school, and all their hard work pays off.
Julia encourages Quad applicants to take the time to think about what they want from a college; just because a college is number one on a prestigious list doesn't mean it is the right fit for them. It takes a lot of research and reflection to determine which school is a great fit for you and your goals.
As a coach, Julia prides herself on being friendly and approachable, and through thoughtful discussions, she helps students clarify their goals. Her empathetic nature and involvement in conversations with students help them feel comfortable being open about their experiences, concerns, and questions. After getting to know a student, Julia helps them draw connections between their experiences and passions and turn those connections into thoughtful and impactful essays. She helps students engage more deeply with their experiences and tap into their emotions so they can tell an authentic and reflective story through their personal statements.
One of Julia's greatest strengths as a coach is helping students overcome writer's block to draft essays that they are proud of. She also excels at breaking the application process into manageable steps and communicating instructions at every stage.
Applicants that Julia has recently coached have gotten accepted into several top-tier schools, including Brown University, Dartmouth College, and NYU.
In her spare time, Julia loves to go on hiking and camping trips (her favorite spot is Acadia National Park in Maine.) She also loves to bake and is always trying out new recipes. She plays tennis several times a week in central park and enjoys acting, improv classes, and theater around NYC.
Julia's Pro Tip?
You have to be truthful and authentic. Admissions officers can tell when you are selling them things you think they want to hear. It is much more interesting to come across an applicant authentically representing themselves.

Les has earned a Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, where he also served as an Admissions Associate. His greatest learning from this experience is the importance of viewing the college application process as a simple pie chart with three key slices: academic life, involvement in or with a community, and personal story. Each of these slices is viewed equally for the top 20 schools, meaning one’s personal statement holds the same weight as their high school transcript in the decision-making process.
Les understands that the admissions cycle is a jarring experience. In fact, his challenging journey to college is what sparked his interest in coaching students. Even though he attended a high school recognized as a college preparatory school, Les found it troubling how minimal access he had as a high school student to college counselors, SAT and ACT prep, and information about private institutions outside of the state.
Moreover, during his college application cycle, his college counselor highly suggested he keep his college search within a more “reasonable” scope. He spent countless weeks and hours crafting his applications and was accepted into 14 of the 18 universities he applied to. Les was the first in his high school to attend Stanford. He is passionate about guiding students and parents through this process to ensure their success!
Les’s greatest strengths as a coach include helping candidates develop and execute a project plan and timeline, identify a list of schools tiered for maximum success and admission reassurance, and highlight their strengths and voice in their essays. Additionally, Les is highly skilled in interview preparation, helping students curate a stellar resume, and tailoring essays to fit the expectations for each desirable school choice.
In his spare time, Les loves going on runs along the San Francisco harbor and Golden Gate Park. He also enjoys listening to NPR politics and the Wall Street Journal report in the morning. His interests include cooking new recipes, reading, talking to friends and family, and developing himself professionally!
Les’s Pro Tip?
Admissions officers want a well-rounded candidate they can argue for before a committee of their peers! Bring your voice. Bring your story. Bring your insight. Your essays hold the key to your potential spot at the school of your dreams.

Madison has a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University. Following her undergraduate degree, she pursued a Master’s degree at the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from Drexel University. Throughout her education, Madison worked closely with Cornell’s admissions team as both a Student Admissions Ambassador and an Alumni Admissions Ambassador.
Madison has extensive coaching experience, working with high school students through undecided majors, navigating financial aid and scholarships, school selection, and application support. She has worked with young people and has always loved their energy and enthusiasm for taking their next life steps, like applying to college. Madison is passionate about being a part of that process, sharing what she has learned from her personal and professional experiences.
In addition to her work with admissions committees and high school students, she spent several years working with applicants from underrepresented backgrounds (e.g., candidates of color, low-income applicants, and first-generation students) in post-secondary planning.
These experiences gave her a thorough understanding of the different challenges and perspectives students have when pursuing higher education–allowing her to empathize deeply with her students and go through the application process through their eyes.
When Madison isn’t coaching, she loves to bake, cook, travel, and spend time outdoors.

Megan is a tenured admission professional with over a decade of experience in selective college admissions. Melissa comes to Quad as one of Princeton University’s most tenured admissions readers. During her time in admissions at Princeton, she was a core part of the team and read over 2,000 applications. In2017, Princeton gave her an honorable mention for having one of the highest application reads. Melissa read different types of applications including Restrictive Early Action, Regular Decision, and Transfers, and across multiple states and international territories, becoming familiar with the admissions landscapes in major territories such as the Northeast, California, and international applications. She advocated for students during the committee process to inform final admissions decisions.
Her time in admissions has shaped her outlook towards helping applicants. Melissa realized that there will always be more amazing candidates than spaces available, and many qualified students will be rejected. From her experience in admissions, she thinks the best way to standout is to have depth and leadership in extracurricular activities. As such, she specializes in working with her students to bring forth these experiences in their applications.
Melissa has a Master's of Education degree in College Student Affairs and before working as a coach at Quad, has worked as an academic advisor, transfer dean, and instructor. Michelle has a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from the University of Southern California. At USC, Michelle has also served on the admissions team as the Associate Director of Student Programs. She reviewed applications, made scholarship decisions, and trained staff interviewers in this position.
As a coach, Michelle enjoys supporting students in this exciting new chapter and helping them think deeply about how to get the most out of their college experience. She also appreciates the opportunity to help students reflect on their journey and how it's shaped them and explore how they'd like to continue growing in this new setting.
Michelle's approach to coaching starts with clear, consistent, and open communication. She values dialogue and feedback, ensuring everyone is clear about (and agrees to) expectations. In her experience, projects are most successful when everyone is fully engaged in the process and confident about their roles and work.
To help form deep bonds with Quad applicants, Michelle asks reflective questions that help candidates gain a deeper understanding of their values and skills and explore ways to combine them. This is extremely valuable in strategizing how to write impactful narratives and organize the application process into manageable steps (i.e., less overwhelming!).
When Michelle isn't coaching, you can find her walking her Boxer, playing word games, doing yoga, or watching stand-up comedy.
Michelle's Pro Tip?
The most compelling applications effectively show the candidate's interests, commitment, and potential. Applications that lack authenticity and thought are easy to sniff out!

Naiara was first generation to college in her family. While at Tufts, Naiara majored in International Relations with a focus on global conflict and cooperation in South Asia and the Middle East.
She took classes in many subjects, ranging from sociology, anthropology and political science to biological anthropology, astronomy and French. Naiara played intramural soccer with friends, she was part of the multicultural organization of students at Tufts, and she was a peer mentor at the Latino Center. She also studied abroad in Paris during her juinior year. After graduating, Naiara worked as a college adviser at Somerville High School where she worked with hundreds of students on their post-high school educations plans. Naiara worked with students on everything from figuring out what they wanted to do post high school to creating lists of potential schools to personal statements and school specific essays.
Naiara's goal was to provide overall support and guidance to high schools juniors and seniors by listening to their specific needs and wants and helping them craft a plan that made sense for them. She also planned a college campus visit and tour for every freshman in order to introduce them to the concept of college. Naiara then became an admissions counselor at Tufts University, where she worked for two years. While at Tufts, Naiara worked with and read applications from students all over the country and the world (specifically South America which she also traveled to for work). Other than reading and evaluating thousands of applications, Naiara was part of diversity recruitment which included hosting a wide range of students on campus.
She also assisted in creating a bridge program for first-generation students. Using the advocacy skills she learned as an admissions counselor, Naiara applied to law school and attended Suffolk University Law School. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2016 and currently works as an attorney for the state of Massachusetts. In her free time, Naiara loves watching soccer (and playing when possible), traveling, and spending time with her nieces.

Naveed has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. He served on Cornell’s admissions team as an Admissions Reader and as an Alumni Interviewer. Professionally, Naveed has worked in investment banking at Lazard and Truist Securities. He has also been on the Business Operations and Strategy teams of top technology firms, including Samsara and Splunk.
As a first-gen college applicant, Naveed didn’t have help or access to many resources when he applied to college. His high school historically sent only 1-2 students to all of the Ivys combined per year. Despite this, Naveed received acceptances to many top-tier colleges before settling on Cornell and secured the Buick Achievers Scholarship ($25K per year, renewable annually). At Cornell, Naveed studied applied economics and management. Naveed’s experience applying to college on his own, coupled with his time spent in admissions, sparked his passion for mentoring students through the college application process. As a coach, he loves to share the wisdom he’s gained so others can make informed decisions and not have to experience the same struggle he experienced while trying to navigate the application process solo.
Regarding coaching, Naveed knows the importance of having a prescriptive yet flexible plan. He works with students to break down the application process (which can seem daunting) into smaller deliverables. He does this by forming deep connections with candidates (and parents), making them feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. His greatest strengths as a coach include finding unique experiences to help craft essays and short answer narratives to set applicants apart from others and helping candidates decide which schools they should apply to. He always encourages students to open themselves up to opportunities they may not have initially considered, which often leads to conversations that help students decide what they want in their college journey. He enjoys celebrating students’ progress and prides himself on being available when needed and when best fits the candidate’s schedule.
Naveed has been helping students through the college application process for the past nine years. Applicants Naveed has recently coached have gotten accepted into Cornell University, UPenn, Columbia University, University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University, Duke University, and Harvard.

Nina has a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Culture and Media and American Studies from Brown University. Nina’s passion for coaching stems from her experience applying to college independently. Nina attended a public school that didn't often send students to 4-year colleges, let alone private colleges, so she had to teach herself everything about the process.
This experience gave Nina a deep understanding of how difficult applying to college can be — but also, how to navigate the process. Nina is excited to share her knowledge and experience with Quad applicants!
Nina has extensive experience supporting college aspirants and was also a coach at Upward Bound, a college readiness program for low income, first-generation, and minority students. Nina’s greatest strengths as a coach include helping students boil down their life stories into a few key points and editing essays so they best highlight a student’s motivations, passions, interests, and achievements. As a professional writer and researcher, distilling and synthesizing information is second nature to Nina. She uses this strength to help applicants craft stand-out applications, where every sentence matters.
Applicants Nina has recently coached have gotten accepted at Princeton, NYU, UC Berkeley, and MIT, among other top schools.
In her spare time, Nina likes cooking (she’s recently been getting into making sushi), biking, and thrifting for vintage clothes to DIY!

Rachel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Johns Hopkins with a degree in Writing Seminars and minors in Theater Arts and Studies and Jewish Studies. Additionally, she participated in a dual program with the Peabody Institute of Music, where she studied classical voice. While at Hopkins, Rachel was a recipient of a research grant through the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship, where she investigated the perception of antisemitism on college campuses in the US and the UK, visiting campuses and interviewing and surveying hundreds of students and faculty members about their experiences.
Rachel has also worked at Johns Hopkins admissions for four years, giving information sessions to prospective families, leading tours for visiting college counselors, interviewing prospective students, and acting as a college representative at campus fairs. Rachel also worked as an academic advisor, helping current college students manage their time and workload while improving their writing habits.
After graduating, Rachel began helping students with their college applications, supplemental college essays, and self-branding. There is nothing she loves more than helping a student see all that makes them unique and finding a way to best wrap it all together in an application essay.
Rachel believes the core of this process is rooted in self-discovery for the applicant, as much as it is in trying to snag a spot in a specific school. Figuring out what makes you YOU and, through that, why a school would be lucky to have YOU as a student makes for the best applications and is something you can carry with you as you head into this transitionary period of your life.
You can catch Rachel writing sketch comedy in New York City, managing the social media strategy and implementation for CPG food brands and international franchises, or hiking the White Mountains in NH.
