Augie has a Bachelor's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Augie's greatest learning from this experience is that a student's academic profile is just one aspect of their application; colleges are looking for well-rounded candidates rather than just smart candidates.
Augie understands that college applicants often don't apply to schools they would excel at due to the confusing and intimidating application process. He aims to demystify the process, helping students navigate through it, tackle any challenges head-on, and put their best foot forward.
Applicants that Augie has recently coached have gotten accepted to several top schools, including Stanford University, The University of Chicago, and Vanderbilt University.
In his spare time, Augie enjoys sailing, single-engine aircraft flying, road-tripping, and trying restaurants.
Augie's Pro Tip?

Beth has earned a BA from Brown University and an MPP from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. For 10 years, she served as the Executive Director of Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA), a national nonprofit that supports high-achieving, low-income students in gaining admission to and succeeding at top colleges. During her time at LEDA, Beth oversaw the design of a highly competitive application and admissions process for the program, which was for rising seniors interested in attending top colleges. She built the college advising platform, supervised the college advisors overseeing the curriculum, provided feedback on list creation, and helped write recommendation letters. Beth also supported high school and college students with resume and cover letter writing, applications for graduate school and fellowships, interview prep, and more. Moreover, she served as an application reader and committee member in the selection process.
For the past five years, Beth has been working as an independent consultant for selective colleges, which hire her to support their efforts to recruit, admit, yield, and support students from underrepresented backgrounds. As part of this work, she has learned about the workings of admissions committees, reviewed application processes and policies, and interviewed dozens of admissions representatives, institutional leaders, and students.
Beth’s greatest learnings from this experience are that there are many talented students out there, and while it's important to look at the data and facts on an application, it is perhaps more important to piece together the student's story. Admissions officers can tell when students have been "over-coached" to the extent that their authentic selves become hard to discern. Furthermore, she has learned that there is no "perfect school" for any student; there are many schools where a student can be happy and successful.
Beth is passionate about coaching college applicants because she enjoys working directly with young people – something that she has done from a very early age. Beth believes very strongly that the college admissions process is most successful when students can find the right fit, which can be best achieved with the support of a caring and knowledgeable adult who guides the students to explore themselves, their interests, and their passion for learning.
As a coach, Beth’s greatest strengths are building a rapport with students while being a patient and thoughtful listener. She also leverages her personal experience of visiting, touring, and studying many top colleges to provide unique insight into the college admissions process. Beth leverages her in-depth understanding of the application review process at top colleges to help each student she coaches. She sees her role as becoming an expert on the student’s interests, goals, and desires and helping them find their way. Beth believes in a student-led, supported, guided, and nurtured process.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys working out, traveling, hiking, and dancing. She is very active in animal rescue and has both owned and fostered dogs.

Duke University - Bachelor's
Saumya graduated from Duke University, where she received the AB Duke scholarship. She has over a decade of tutoring experience, mostly focused on the ACT and SAT. Saumya taught her first math class when she was 14 years old and has been tutoring ever since. Instead of just teaching "exam hacks," Saumya loves helping students understand the "why" behind the solution and then employing exam hacks to help them solve problems more quickly.
Saumya loves teaching and seeing students reach their "breakthrough" moment. She is excited to get to know Quad students and help them through this process!
